    Job Title: Food Service Manager

    Welcome to our team! As a Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for planning weekly menus, ensuring quality food service, maintaining a safe kitchen environment, and supervising food service associates. Here's a glimpse of what your role will involve:

    • Plan weekly menus based on policies and procedures, incorporating nutritional foods and seasonal items
    • Maintain inventory from approved vendors, always seeking ways to enhance service quality
    • Prepare and cook food following nutritional guidelines and resident preferences
    • Ensure appetizing food presentation and timely delivery
    • Support residents' independence with eating by understanding their needs
    • Address concerns promptly and prepare food for special events
    • Encourage resident participation and provide a clean and safe kitchen environment
    • Supervise associates, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
    • Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
    • Handle on-the-job injuries and maintain a safe environment for all

    Non-Essential Functions:

    Lead by example, promote teamwork, attend meetings, and complete required courses. Your safety and that of the residents and associates are top priorities.

    Qualifications/Skills

    • High school education, certification as a Certified Dietary Manager
    • Experience as a chef/cook and in supervision/management
    • Knowledge of food-handling regulations, HACCP, OSHA, and Microsoft Office
    • Effective communication and decision-making skills
    • Passion for working with senior citizens and promoting a safe environment
