    The Role: The AGL Claims Specialist will work under the guidance of the Claims Team Leader to efficiently handle investigations and claim settlements following established protocols and best practices.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Reviewing claim and policy details to gather investigation background
    • Interviewing relevant parties to collect necessary claim information
    • Evaluating facts to determine liability and policy obligations
    • Preparing detailed reports on investigations and settlements
    • Setting reserves and recommending changes as needed
    • Collaborating with the team to resolve claim issues
    • Facilitating settlements and issuing payments
    • Managing claims through various processes to achieve positive outcomes
    • Establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships
    Based on the line of business, additional responsibilities may include:
    • Maintaining system logs
    • Assessing compensability and benefits
    • Reviewing and approving medical payments
    • Handling vocational rehabilitation matters
    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' experience in relevant claims handling
    • Knowledge of claims processes and terminologies
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
    • Familiarity with insurance products, services, and best practices
    • Understanding of state laws and licensing requirements
