    Sunflower Bank, N.A . is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time

    Chief Fiduciary Officer

    in Phoenix, AZ.

    The ideal candidate will have deep and current experience guiding families through complex estate planning issues.


    MUST HAVE:
    Bachelor's degree in business, finance, legal, or other related field preferred


    MUST HAVE:
    A JD/LLM with 20 years of related work experience.


    MUST HAVE :
    15+ years relevant experience in trust and estate practice.

    Summary
    The Chief Fiduciary Officer will provide oversight and manage the fiduciary and administrative support functions for the department. Recruit, train, and manage day-to-day staff responsible for managing all fiduciary account activity. Ensure all accounts are appropriately matched with experience and customer relationship skills of each administrator. Manages all activities in accordance with trust documents, regulatory guidance, and internal bank policies and procedures. Lead staff to support and grow the fiduciary business.

    Develop and support general fiduciary training for Sunflower constituents and engage in market development within various trust and estate communities.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Ensure all fiduciary account relationships are managed in accordance with the requirements of the relevant legal documents, regulatory guidelines and the bank's policies and procedures
    Provide oversight of accurate and timely client reporting, management reporting, transactional processing, regulatory compliance of administrative procedures and evaluation of customer directives and requests
    Ensure all customer directives and requests are adequately documented and in compliance with regulatory requirements
    Develop processes and procedures for WM Trust Department to ensure alignment with relevant regulations and excellent client service
    Responsible for maintaining and keeping current the Sunflower trust policy in coordination with Sunflower's compliance team
    Ensure all annual reviews are completed in timely fashion
    Report all non-compliance issues to relevant oversight committee
    Manage new account assignment consistent with requirements and work load
    Establish and monitor expectations to achieve goals
    Manage the performance, training, and evaluations of assigned staff and ensure all parties are aware of current trust policy
    Ensure all reporting for department is accurate and timely for relevant oversight functions
    Ensure staff receives adequate training and skill development
    Proactively assist financial advisors to grow fiduciary business.

    Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.

    Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
    Understand and participate in the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act program.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education / Experience
    Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, legal, or other related field preferred
    JD/LLM required with 20 years of related work experience
    15+ years relevant experience in trust and estate practice required
    Prior experience leading a bank trust department preferred
    Demonstrated strong leadership and customer relationship building skills (15+ years).
    Experienced in maintaining relationships with key internal and external business partners
    Possess strong technical and analytical aptitude
    Ability to manage multiple priorities; meet time expectations and able to manage day-to-day activities while understanding risks and aligning with strategy and business outcomes
    Develop best practices and standards that ensure efficient process; focus on continuous improvement
    Effective communicator at all levels; strong presentation skills and experience with developing and delivering training programs
    Strong leader; take ownership, lead by example, create a high-performing team, able to make tough decisions – holding team accountable
    Must be able to work flexible hours
    Must be bondable
    Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and location

    Working Conditions
    Sedentary work.

    Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
