Business Intelligence Analyst

Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Client: Leidos

Location: Norfolk (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Employment Length: Long Term Contract

Pay: $40-$50 /hr.

Job Description:

We are seeking a flexible, dynamic, and continuously learning individual with experience to join our team as a Business Intelligence Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data management, analysis, and visualization, along with a strong foundation in cloud technologies, data science, and programming.

Responsibilities:

Data Lake Management:

Manage and maintain data lakes on cloud platforms.
Utilize cloud services and possess relevant certifications.
Collaborate with cloud architects for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Develop and maintain data pipelines as a data engineer/analytics architect.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence:

Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel.
Implement data governance and management practices.
Conduct data manipulation, cleaning, and validation.
Familiarity with big data technologies.
Experience in modeling and simulation for business insights.

Data Science Skills:

Develop and validate machine learning models.
Deploy models into production environments.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and VBA within popular IDEs.
Automate processes to enhance efficiency as an automation engineer.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a relevant role.
Strong understanding of databases and database management.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools.
Knowledge of data science concepts and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
