Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, as part of the procedure team, provides technical services and support to diagnostic and interventional cardiology, structural heart, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures for the Cardiac Cath Lab adult patients. The responsibilities include case monitoring and documentation, case set-up, scrubbing the procedures andassistingthe physician, circulating cases, troubleshooting of clinical equipment during procedures, and maintenance of sterile technique. The technologist must be able to perform in afast pacedenvironment with a teamwork approach. The position may requireoncallrotations. May berequiredto work at and covercallfor Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital.    

 Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements 
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures 
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment 
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care 
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient 

What qualifications you will need:

• Vocation or 2 year Associate Degree required

• CV Tech, Registered 

  Vascular Lab Tech, Register Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Register Cardiac Electrophysiologist Specialist (RCES), State Register Radiologic Tech, Registered Vascular Tech (RVT), VI-Vascular Interventional Cert, or Register CV Invasive Specialist required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Interventional cardiology, radiology, or peripheral vascular knowledge and degree in associated program required
