    Scope of Position: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centers mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The clinic nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.

    Position Summary: The Clinic Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Adheres to Hospital and Departmental Policy/Procedure.

    Minimum Qualifications

    For Hire: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, current license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, minimum 1 year critical care or perioperative experience required.

    On going: Maintains certification and licensing status, meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
