We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic who is ready to put their skills to work on projects that matter and build a career with a company that is building North America.
This position will maintain and repair heavy construction automotive equipment mechanical equipment and machinery for our Louisiana Ready Mix Division.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to maintaining an effective system of communication with supervisors and customers maintaining a safe and clean work area assisting other mechanics as needed having basic computer proficiency
and good verbal written communication skills must have good organizational skills be able to meet strict deadlines document issues procedures can work in a team atmosphere learn new tasks must be self-starter able to work unsupervised diagnose troubleshoot equipment failures provide repair maintenance diesel gasoline engines adjust repair ignition fuel electrical hydraulic steering systems maintain chassis frames bodies work hoisting jacking equipment power tools measuring instruments gauges meters lubricate equipment maintain tires batteries brakes valves perform shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling spare parts inventory control making estimates material labor equipment requirements demonstrate commit communicating improving adhering health safety environmental policies all environments areas promote culture safety exhibit behaviors.
