    Job Summary:

    The factory Controls Supervisor oversees controls systems utilized by each facility. They are responsible for maintaining all aspects of the plant control systems along with assisting in the development, standardization, and management for the operations department. The Controls Supervisor works with the engineering team, site personnel, engineering firms and field related professionals to define projects, develop budgets, drawings, specifications and bid packages. This includes assisting the team for design layout, materials specifications, and information flow. The Controls Supervisor will assist in project life cycle from concept to successful commissioning as well as maintenance and non-capital project issues. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, maintain, and improve factory controls systems daily
  • Have a production efficiency focus, evaluating performance and implementing improvements
  • Troubleshooting problems with control systems processes and hardware
  • Support development of scopes, budgets, schedules and bid packages for controls systems projects
  • Work with controls programs & human-machine interface, develop functional descriptions & SOPs
  • Work with controls systems wiring diagrams & equipment layouts existing & new installations
  • Provide technical assistance, training & start up support to operators and management team
  • Work within plant control project budgets, equipment orders and project installation
  • Provide project handoff to AMMS / Planner Schedulers for asset management & preventive maintenance
  • Support plant with On-call 24/7 for emergency response of all controls systems as needed
  • Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Alternatively extensive industrial experience of 5+ years with progressive automation/programming
  • Ability to work with designing & programming Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC 's & FT View HMI's
  • Ability to work with CAD, drafting software, schematic wiring diagrams, panel layouts & P&ID's
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret and implement specifications & scope
  • Key Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient skills in MS Office products and controls systems engineering software.
