    Job Description

    We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ob/Gyn Oncology team at UTHealth Houston. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.


    Key Accountabilities

    • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity.
    • Adhere to nursing practice act standards and ensure efficient clinic operation through proper scheduling and resource planning.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions within scope of practice.
    • Educate patients on health maintenance, promotion, and restoration.
    • Evaluate patient response and outcomes, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
    • Cordinate care referrals and transitions as needed, exercising judgment and critical thinking.
    • Perform on-site and telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentation.
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Texas RN License required
    • BLS Certification
    • ACLS Certification preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
    • No experience required
