    As our


    Power Systems Engineer , you will help MISO analyze future operating conditions on the bulk electric system and determine the actions needed to allow maintenance and construction of new electrical facilities to occur.

    You will complete power-flow assessments of planned transmission and generation outages.


    Additionally, as our Power Systems Engineer, you will be part of the team that collaborates across multiple groups, including real-time operations, market operations and transmission planning, as well as multiple time zones across MISO's footprint to help ensure reliability of the grid.

    You will also have the opportunity to work on outage analysis and power flow analysis automation projects.

    In one year as our Power Systems Engineer, you will know you were successful if:

    you can run an internal Outage Coordination process cycle

    you have developed at least one process improvement initiative

    We are looking for hardworking engineers who have at least a Bachelor's degree in any of the following:

    Electrical Engineering

    Computer Engineering

    Electrical Engineering Technology

    Electrical and Computer Engineering

    Electrical and Electronic Engineering

    Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology
    At least two years of relevant work experience
    We would also prefer candidates who have completed courses in Power Systems

    Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
