    EmployeeDiesel Mechanic- 3rd Shift Our team in Reading currently has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic- 3rd ShiftYOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Perform and interpret diagnostic tests on diesel engines and truck systems
    Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering & exhausts
    After fully diagnosing issues, prepare work plans and consult customers
    Repair or replace vehicle engines, transmissions, braking systems
    Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
    Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicle is operating safely & efficiently
    Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
    Must be flexible to work different shifts 3am-11am.

    YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience:
    Class A CDL
    Sign documentation to meet DOT regulations and companyrequirements
    Pass driver's physical and applicable tests associated with driving a servicetruck
    Familiar with all DOT regulations and truck operations
    Meet DOT regulatory & company requirements for operating company vehicles
    Occasional overtime
    Experience servicing medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Preference given toFreightliner, Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR trained technicians
    Accreditation to perform Federal DOT and PA State inspections
    Reliable and consistent attendance record
    In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
    Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment, includingmechanical and electric power tools
    Proficient in diesel engine diagnostic software
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms ofa diesel engine
    In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
    Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
    Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
    Excellent problem-solving skills
    Keen attention to detail
    Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
    Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
    A valid driver's license
    Good interpersonal skills
    Effective collaboration and communication skills
