    SUMMARY:

    The role of the Delivery Driver is to deliver building materials promptly and safely to our customers by following assigned routes, instructions, and time schedules set forth by the Shipping Manager. In addition, you will occasionally ride with another driver to assist in the manual unloading of building materials off the larger trucks in our fleet.

    Requirements

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Complete truck/lift inspection daily before the start of deliveries and report any issues to the Shipping Manager promptly
    • Verify loads are accurate and properly secured before leaving the yard
    • Safely transport material to and from locations via company truck
    • Safely unload material at job sites while stacking neatly and covering with plastic [as needed] before departing.
    • Meet delivery schedules and stops as designated by the Shipping Manager
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including, but not limited to, pictures of all deliveries made, actual mileage, appropriate signatures on orders, fuel totals, etc.
    • Submit all documentation, including inspections and signature copies, complete and timely
    • Ensure excellent customer service by consistently delivering orders on time and acting courteously and professionally
    • Communicate all problems, damages, customer complaints, concerns, or errors to supervisor immediately
    • Keep interior/exterior of truck neat and clean
    • Maintain a good relationship with all employees
    • Maintain a neat appearance by following the company dress code
    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER DETAILS
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent driving record
    • Ability to handle 100 lbs. products
    • Forklift operation - training provided
    • Ability to pass a company background check and drug test
    • Effective documentation and organizational capacity
    • Good knowledge of roadways throughout the immediate and surrounding areas

    HOURS AND SCHEDULE:
    • This is a full-time position of at least 40 hours per week
