Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our client's team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
• Safely and securely stack materials while maximizing storage space.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or operational issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Follow established procedures for the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring the removal of debris and obstructions.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to management.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production personnel to fulfill orders and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to quality and productivity.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Valid forklift operator certification or license.
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
