    Senior Business Continuity Specialist The pay range for this position is listed below.

    Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time.

    Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates.

    Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

    40 What You'll Be Doing


    Provides senior level support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Credit Union's organizational business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) management programs and plans by gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to mitigate the impact on business operations of potential adverse conditions due to natural or structural disasters, acts of terror/war, cyber-attacks, etc.

    Conduct risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis, and reporting. Work with business and IT technical staff to develop contingencies and test recovery plans.


    Coordinates and implements business continuity activities and disaster recovery planning in support of the business continuity program and organizational priorities.

    Develops and communicates business continuity program policies, standards and guidelines.
    Develops information gathering activities to determine potential impacts of risk and threats. Recommends continuity controls.

    Reviews and validates the accuracy of all data collection, data analysis and risk analysis for the Business Impact Analysis and related enterprise risk assessments and reporting.

    Works directly with business units to determine critical business processes, identify acceptable recovery time frames and application and systems needed for business resumption.

    Collaborates with business units on the creation, maintenance and update of all organizational plans under the business continuity program.

    Includes the BCP, DR, Pandemic, Incident Response, department business resumption, alternate procedures, and third-party service contingency plans to ensure minimum service level objectives are met during a disruption.

    Partner with key stakeholders to create and deliver training and awareness campaign materials that are aligned with the Business Continuity Plan and organizational policies and procedures.

    Develops and conducts multiple exercises of medium to high complexity of business processes, dependent applications, and workaround strategies that support their plans.

    Ensures regular testing and thorough documentation. Works with management and technical staff to ensure plans are feasible, thorough, and effective. Ensures plans, alternate sites, and contingency plans are tested regularly and documented.
    Conducts plan administration through regular review, updates, and testing. Supports management and technical staff to ensure testing and documentation is complete and meets regulatory standards.

    Monitors, tracks, and reports on the development of the institution-wide disaster recovery management programs, including maturity models, methodologies, sourcing strategies, plans, metrics, testing contingency capabilities, reporting, and scorecards for all program components.

    Support infrastructure risk and control remediation for DR findings to enable enterprise compliance with established standards.
    Coordinates third-party disaster recovery testing and reporting.
    Tracks and coordinates the resolution of enterprise recovery issues identified during testing and actual events.

    Develops accurate, concise, and informative reports for the business continuity program (includes disaster recovery tests, risk assessments, and Business Impact Analysis reports) for executive management and regulators.

    Maintains and tests various communication methods, such as emergency notification tool and call trees to ensure appropriate communications during unforeseen events.

    Maintains and enhances business continuity automation and program management tools.
    Understands the Credit Union environment, business operations, products and services, and critical systems.

    Utilizes knowledge to provide consultative support and recommendations to business units and IT to ensure adequacy of planning and testing for business continuity and disaster recovery.

    Maintains thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, including one or more of the following: NCUA Part 748, Part 749 and related appendices, FFIEC IT Examination, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001.

    Assists in the response and recovery efforts, in the event of a crisis.
    Develops Board or Sr.

    Executive level summaries on the Business Continuity Program deliverables (BIA, tests, plans), including presentation development and assists with presentation delivery.

    Supports and provides coverage for complex operational functions within the department when needed. Assists management in reviewing the work of and training other teammembers.

    Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Management or equivalent work related experience required
    3-5 years of experience in business continuity planning, Business Impact Analysis, Emergency Preparedness, disaster recovery planning, testing or training, emergency management or incident response required
    3-5 years of experience in information technology, project management, business analysis, risk controls, governance or related discipline experience preferred
    ITIL Foundations
    CBCP or equivalent
    Certified Organizational Resilience Specialist (CORS) or equivalent
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Strong skills with testing of emergency response, recovery support and business resumption procedures. Required
    Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Required
    Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Required
    RSA Archer administrative skills. Preferred
