    This 7 person team drives Data Solutions across multiple lines of business. We use an advanced Tech stack to drive progress.

    About the Role

    This position performs moderate research, design, and data engineering assignments within a specific engineering functional area or product line.

    Responsibilities

    • Owning specific set or group of data transfers in various capacities including collection setup, data transfer setup, contributor/customer setup. Overseeing specific database management ensuring structure and dataflow adheres to department standards.
    • Performing daily data loads ensuring recurring updates are logged and tracked. Utilizing various data workflow management and analysis tools.
    • Producing code that is efficient, repeatable, and adherent to best practices such as naming conventions, encapsulation. Participating in process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high quality services on time, and to specification.
    • Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of data components of moderate complexity. Complete simple data engineering bug fixes and resolve technical issues as necessary.
    • Working closely with other engineering team members to understand data and translate requirements. Operating in various development environments
    • (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Have the ability to work with simple and complex data
    • models. Be Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to:
    • Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, Unix, .Net., HPCC.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of data manipulation languages.
    • Currently using Pyspark/Spark
    • Experience with file management skills and logic. Familiarity of Industry best practices - Code coverage.
    • Have extensive knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
    • Possess extensive Data Driven problem solving skills. Able to use those skills to drove solutions.
