    Our Client, a well-respected law firm specializing in litigation services across various practice areas is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to help on 3-4 month project.

    Job Description: As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of the litigation process. You will be responsible for assisting with case management, document preparation, client communication, and various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and multitasking skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist attorneys and paralegals in managing and organizing litigation cases, including maintaining case files, calendars, and deadlines.
    • Draft and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, subpoenas, and correspondence.
    • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation matters.
    • Assist in the discovery process by gathering, organizing, and summarizing documents and evidence.
    • Communicate with clients, schedule meetings, and provide updates on case status as needed.
    • Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines.
    • Coordinate trial preparation activities, including preparing trial exhibits and assisting with witness scheduling.
    • Handle billing tasks such as timekeeping, invoicing, and expense tracking.
    • Perform various administrative duties to support the legal team, including answering phones, managing emails, and scheduling appointments.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in litigation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
