    Job Title:
    Programmer Analyst

    Duration: 8 Months

    Work Location:
    Remote (PST Time Zone)

    Description :

    to serve as an SAP Expert, providing day to day support on LADBS' current SAP environment and upgrading it and its related infrastructure.

    The duties of the SAP Expert include, but are not limited to the following:

    Provide technical expertise and oversight in the support, design, development, testing, and implementation of an updated SAP environment that is running current versions of the operating system and SAP software.

    Ensure all current reports and processes promoted to the SAP environment are fully functional and operating in the new SAP environment.

    Ensure all current users of the SAP system can access and fully utilize the new SAP environment. This includes internal and external customers.
    Assist in delivering an SAP system that is robust, secure, redundant and scalable.

    Assist in ensuring that complementary activities and equipment such as servers, storage, printing and communications are sufficient to provide for current and future needs.

    Assist in coordinating, managing, and monitoring the project activities and responsibilities of the Department's assigned project technical staff and resources.

    Assist in ensuring that IT Security standards are met, implemented, and enforced to maintain the integrity of the systems' entire infrastructure and data.

    Oversee and help manage the User Acceptance Testing process, and work with City staff to resolve any issues discovered.
    Help ensure the timely submission, review, and approval of all deliverables for the projects.

    Provide regular or periodic status reports to provide updates on project progress, in addition to identifying project issues, tracking resolutions, and planning action items for the period following deployment.

    Provide training on server maintenance and troubleshooting, including administration and audit.

    Provide training on client reporting tools such as the Business Intelligence Launch Pad, Web Intelligence, Web Intelligence Rich Client, Universe Design, and Crystal Reports.

    Migrate SAP environment from an on-premise datacenter to a hosted service.

    Assist with writing technical documents, including project requirements, system requirements, test plans, project standards, training materials, and other relevant documents.

    Develop, schedule, and oversee the generation and delivery of training, user guides, and full project documentation.
    Coordinate and effectively interact with the technical staff on the project team and all LADBS staff
    Documents best practices and creates development resources that can be used by other developers specific to Systems


    Work Products and Outcomes:
    Contractor shall meet the following key high-level work products and outcomes as identified by LADBS:
    Function as a subject matter expert regarding SAP
    Training of key users on the processes and applications

    Application support for day to day SAP issues, and also support as a result of infrastructure changes and application upgrades.

    Proactively drive process standardization and reduction of complexity within the application landscape and business processes.
    Designing and implementing High Availability/DR Solutions for SAP Applications
    Migrate SAP Applications to cloud including SAP Migrations to HANA using tools such as SAP DMO
    Configure Backup and Recovery for enterprise applications and database in a public, private or hybrid cloud environment
    Architect and deploy SAP solutions on at least one hyperscaler (AWS, GCP or Azure)
    Engage with the functional teams and drive system performance monitoring, testing and tuning for the SAP products


    Performance Specifications:
    The qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:5+ years of experience in Information Technology
    5+yea rs of experience in the design, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of SAP environments.
    3+ years of experience in the integration of SAP and identity management systems.
    3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP Client reporting tools.
    3+ years of experience in Microsoft Server installation and configuration
    SAP technical proficiency with at least 1 full life-cycle SAP implementation and 3+ years of Industry or consulting experience

    Deep understanding of SAP Basis workstream in implementing and/or supporting different SAP components such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori/Gateway, SAP PO, SAP Business Objects, BW on HANA, SAP Business Suite on HANA, etc.

    Migrate SAP Applications to cloud including SAP Migrations to HANA using tools such as SAP DMO.

    Good understanding of platform, network, security and storage components in a cloud environment working with VM Engines, Storage services, Network components such as Load Balancer, VPN, etc.

    Broad technical background with knowledge of system sizing and architecture
    Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills when interacting with all levels of management, customers, project team and staff.
    High proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the project team, LADBS staff, and other City departments.
    Experience working respectfully in a culturally diverse work environment.
    Ability to work independently and with teams.
    Ability to lead conversations with Customers, SAP, SAP Partners, Developers, and Architects
    Proficiency in writing Technical Documentation.
    Ability to gather, interpret and evaluate complex information and data.

    Evaluation Criteria:


    LADBS will first review the TOS Responses received and select up to 4 of the most qualified candidates to be interviewed based on a review of the resumes provided and the criteria below.

    Knowledge and experience upgrading SAP.
    Knowledge and experience working with SAP on different hosting platforms such as in the cloud and on premise.
    Knowledge and experience supporting SAP, both for end users and for administration.
    Experience in the analysis, design, modification or implementation of computer-based information systems.
