Job summary
Assists the Admissions Office and Emergency Department with the assessment and evaluation of patients seeking psychiatric/behavioral healthcare in a managed care environment Demonstrates competency in assessing children adolescents and adults Performs telephone assessments and schedules routine evaluations at the Admissions Office Completes verification of benefits and patient registrations at the Admissions Office or the Emergency Department when required Coordinates the involuntary commitment of patients evaluated in the Emergency Department assists other staff to coordinate involuntary commitment of patients on the inpatient units Facilitates transfer of patients to Princeton House from other facilities also from University Medical Center to other facilities if required Maintains appropriate clinical standards for this position by obtaining monthly supervision participating continuing education trainings complying licensure requirements if applicable Works independently assists junior staff with consultation support difficult cases Supports customer service performance improvement goals department Collaborates caregivers/staff within outsidetheDepartment develop implement plans enhance patient care service Maintains confidentiality Participate unit compliance related established standards
