    The Senior Property Accountant will be primarily responsible for all aspects of property accounting andthe monthly close for the assigned property portfolio.

    The right candidate will have strong analyticaland problem-solving skills, strict attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

    Additionally, the abilityto adhere to all accounting cycle deadlines and collaborate with the full accounting team in the processis essential.

    This position is an opportunity for the new team member toassist in establishing best practices and efficiencies throughout the accounting function.

    Description of ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing all aspects of the monthly close.
    Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
    Review general ledger to ensure that all expenses are properly classified.
    Experience reviewing the work of others and providing analytical feedback.
    Critically analyze all preparations and anticipate questions that may be considered.
    Prepare monthly variance explanations.
    Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting packages.
    Perform generally varied and complex accounting-oriented duties in support of supervisors and property operating requirements with minimal direction.
    Use extensive knowledge of the property's operations and is effective when communicating with corporate officers, vendors, tenants, and customers.

    Efficiently and successfully controls and performs several project activities simultaneously; can easily 'switch gears' without sacrificing timely completion of critical assignments.

    Prepare CAM reconciliations for monthly accrual postings and annual reconciliations to tenants.

    Coordinate with the billing and lease administration department to ensure that all charges are billed to tenants in accordance with applicable leases.

    Maintain all fixed asset schedules including reconciliations for month-end close.
    Record monthly fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.

    Collaborate with the procurement and asset owners on fixed asset transactions to ensure correct coding and compliance with the capitalization policy.

    Assist with year-end audit requests.
    Take the lead on special projects pertaining to assigned portfolios.
    Assist and participate in other projects as assigned and requested.

    Position Requirements and Desired Skills3-5+ years of accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year accredited university or collegeDemonstrated proficiency in the use of multiple accounting software programs strongly preferred, notably MRI or similar software.

    CPA strongly preferredExperience in the data center or real estate industries strongly preferred.
    Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills and SharePoint navigationExcellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
    High attention to detail and accuracy. Able to recognize anomalies or errors proactively and self-correct.
