    Member Services Associate (Seasonal)At the Tennessee Aquarium, we strive to connect people with nature and empower them to make informed decisions about water and wildlife.

    As a Member Services Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with guests and members at Member Services to assist with membership purchases and renewals, generate additional sales, and ensure excellent customer service by problem solving any guest needs.

    Key Responsibilities Respond to member needs, including membership purchases and upgrades, event reservations, ticket sales, and all other membership questions.

    Act as an onsite membership resource. Enter, verify, and update membership data in BOS and Raisers Edge systems.

    Maintain an ongoing knowledge base of the Tennessee Aquarium's offerings, including member benefits, seasonal promotions, IMAX films, Deeper Dive passes, The River Society, and other special events to promote to members.

    Communicate effectively with a variety of guests, close the sale, and efficiently input accurate, detailed data. Able to solve problems, address complaints, and provide prompt service recovery. Work with the Membership team to achieve departmental sales goals. Must be able to work independently and provide an efficient, high standard of customer service. Cross-train with other departments to stay current on available experiences and opportunities. Assist with event setup, coordination, and execution of internal/member events as needed. Develop an extensive knowledge of the Aquarium and the Chattanooga community to provide a "one-stop" planning experience.
    Key RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.
    Customer service experience required.
    Cash handling experience preferred.
    Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).Professional and enthusiastic interpersonal skills.
    Proven sales experience.
    Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
    Ability to work well within a team environment.
    Manage multiple functions simultaneously.

    Ability to operate a cash register and handle money (basic math).Seasonal (May-September), hourly ($15/hour); 20 hours/week, occasional evening work, weekend rotation required.
