- Teach courses in Industrial Electrical Maintenance program, including but not limited to: Introduction, Intermediate, and Advanced PLCs, PLC Networks, Introduction to Robotics, and Robotics Automation Technology using a combination of lectures, hands-on lab activities, and emerging instructional technologies to enhance student learning.
- Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and revision of course curriculum to align with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain written instructions and safety procedures for lab equipment and training activities.
- Supervise and monitor students' use of tools, equipment, and lab spaces to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Recruit, mentor and advise students in the IEM program.
- Participates in faculty meetings, college events, and professional development activities.
- Mentor and support adjunct faculty teaching related courses.
- Works cooperatively with the other departments and employees.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into classroom instruction.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.

- Bachelor's Degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Electronics or Electro-mechanical, with 5 years of PLC experience.
- Industry certifications in PLC programming, robotics or maintenance management.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design within a learning management system (preferably Canvas LMS).
- Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or community college setting.

State Fair Community College is seeking an experienced full-time Industrial Electrical Maintenance (IEM) instructor with expertise in PLCs, robotics, and industrial maintenance systems.
The instructor will be responsible for teaching courses, advising students, and contributing to curriculum development to ensure a high-quality educational experience that meets industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience :
Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Electrical Maintenance, Automation or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience or CMRT/CMRP certifications combined with at least 5 years pertinent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement, however candidates without a degree must commit to a professional development plan to earn an appropriate degree.
