    Description

    Newton Health Care Center is seeking a Business Office Manager / Admissions Coordinator for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Newton, IA

    You will assist in developing, implementing and maintaining systems to operate the business office in an effective, efficient manner so that the facility will run sound. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to oversee and develop and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians and the community to drive patient referral efforts.

    This is a Full-Time position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that supplies are requested, approved and ordered according to policy.
    • Bill, monitor, and collect account receivables. Report delinquent accounts to the Administrator and/or the Director of Finance.
    • Assist in planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
    • Be able to perform all the job functions required of the Accounting/Billing Assistant.
    • Grow new referral opportunities in hospitals and other sources
    • Act as liaison between facilities and referral sources
    • Convert referrals to new residents
    • Community outreach and relationship building
    • Coordinate admissions with facility team
    • Ensure admission documentation is completed accurately and timely

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years business office and/or accounting experience required, preferably in a Long Term Care Accounts receivable
    • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and Insurance.
    • over a years' experience between Healthcare Sales, Marketing, Referral Management, and/or Admissions
    • Clinical background preferred.
