    Gastroenterologist Locum Tenens Opportunity in Central Illinois Are you a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? We are currently seeking a skilled physician to cover a maternity leave from March 16 to June 16, with the possibility of extension.

    Join the GI of Alton team, providing outpatient care at our state-of-the-art facility with dedicated GI labs conveniently located at Alton Memorial Hospital on the same campus.


    Practice Setting:
    Outpatient office with GI labs at Alton Memorial Hospital Located near PATTERSON, IL Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave for one of our providers Schedule: Three to four days a week 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Call schedule: 2 weeks per month Onsite lab and E-Ray available

    Patient Load:
    Average 12-14 patients per day All inpatient and outpatient scheduled procedures

    Physician Team:
    Currently 3 physicians in the group One provider on maternity leave starting March 16 One retiring at the end of April Documentation System/


    EMR:

    EPIC Required Procedures:
    ERCP Lower GI Endoscopy Colonoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Small Bowel Biopsy Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: Biopsy with Foreign Body Removal ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)

    Diagnostic Therapeutic Additional Responsibilities:
    Locum will need to follow up with patients for any pathology needs/results
