    Description

    Work can be done by a nurse practitioner looking to perform medical assessments on United States veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

    When conducting Disability Assessments, you will access medical records through a web portal and perform in-person physical exams on each veteran.

    You are responsible for documenting the exam findings required by the VA electronically.

    The nurse practitioner in this role does not determine disabilities; that responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.

    This position solely focuses on Disability Assessments for veterans and does not involve treatment or prescription of medication.

    On a daily basis, this role conducts Disability Assessments for 3-5 veterans.

    Schedule: Full-Time Mon-Fri (8am-4pm)

    This is an in-person position.

    Key Attributes:

    • Passion for conducting Independent Medical Assessments.
    • Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete required questionnaires and form medical opinions.
    • Strong time management skills to meet task requirements efficiently.
    • Requirement of holding a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
    • Proficiency in computer usage.

    Requirements:

    • Must possess a current, unrestricted NP license.
