    Description

    Pharr Road Animal Hospital, located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our growing team Today, our team of veterinarians in Atlanta has more than tripled and we're proud to offer not only general wellness and preventive medicine, but alternative therapies and regenerative medicine, too.

    Our goal is to provide the highest quality of medical care for our clients and patients by listening to their needs and by giving exceptional client services in a professional and compassionate manner.

    Licensed Veterinary Technician Role Requirements** Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.


    • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology

    *Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
    • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
    • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
    • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
    • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
    • Competently perform dental prophylaxis
