    Hazel Park is seeking applicants for the position of a Hazel Park Schools BCBA for the 2024/2025 school year. The district is served by caring and professional teaching and other staff who provide instruction and support to approximately 3,100 students.     Qualifications
    • Master's (MA or MS) or Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in school psychology or equivalent
    • Must have completed 45 graduate hours in school psychology or equivalent
    • Currently certified or eligible for certification as a Full or Preliminary School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education and/or fully certified or eligible for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
    • Have completed required internship hours with school age persons pursuant to certification requirements
    • Meets competency requirements as set forth in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and appropriate assessments and interventions for children in the school setting.
    • Develop behavior protocols and data collection systems designed for the needs of the educational environment in both structured and unstructured settings.
    • Collaborate with school teams to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
    • Evaluate child progress based on academic and behavioral goals and use evidence to update Behavior Intervention Plans.
    • Provide RBT supervision as required by BACB to maintain certification.
    • Support the professional development of RBTs.
    • Collaborate with colleagues for efficient planning and implementation of programs.
    • Implementation of parent/caregiver collaboration opportunities to facilitate the generalization of skills.
    • Collaborate educational teams at the early childhood, elementary and junior high school level.
    • Collaborate as a member of School Problem Solving team
    • Other duties as assigned
    Required Education/Certification
    • Michigan License (BCBA)
    Preferred
    • Skilled in addressing the unique academic, developmental, physical and social needs of adolescents.
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents and staff.
    • Strong communication, technology and organizational skills.
    • Understanding of how to work with and support a diverse learning community including English Language Learners and Special Educations students and their families.
    • Knowledge of data and how it is used to inform instruction.
