    Job Description:

    Operations Database and Application Admin Lead

    Deliver insights to help our clients turn data into action as an Operations Admin Lead at GDIT. Your work will provide transformative solutions to our clients' big-data obstacles and help advance the mission. Here, you can make a meaningful impact on our clients' mission and on your career.

    HOW AN OPERATIONS DATABASE and APPLICATION ADMIN LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
    Responsible day-to-day team assignments and over-sight of Database Administrators and Applications Administer team members.
    Responsible in ensuring application and database environments are in operational state, patched, and maintain proper information assurance posture
    Responsible in ensuring application and database environment adhere to user account policies and audit requirements.
    Create and maintain team project schedules, including determining proper durations and team assignments
    Oversee the integration of new employees to team and procedures; ensure mentor of new employee is being conducted
    Participate in engineering review, enhancements and maintenance of system architecture

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


    Education:
    Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree in Computer Science or Related Discipline
    Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience as a database analyst.

    Required Technical Skills:
    Oracle Database Architecture; Database Implementation; Database Management, Unix, PeopleSoft Architecture, Business Objects


    Security Clearance Level:
    Secret


    Required Certifications:
    Security +


    Preferred Skills:
    OS or DBA Certification, Communication, Problem Solving

    Location:
    Hybrid, Must be on Customer Site 2-3 Days per week.
