- Ability to created individualized Action Plans based on the needs of the participant. Leverage behavioral expertise in formulating recommendations that best meet participant goals.
- Provide 1:1 telephonic, video and chat specialty/special needs consultations to help the participant identify and meet their individualized needs.
- Educate participants on applicable educational and disability law while coaching them to take steps towards legal entitlements they are most likely to be eligible for given their unique circumstances (no legal advice)
- Research and provide participants with a wide variety of civilian and military resources
- Execute duty to warn/mandated reporting processes as needed
- Contribute constructively in team meetings and with matrix partners in a manner to enhance relationships and to improve communication and procedures relevant to team functioning.
- Perform additional tasks/projects as needed, requested or assigned.
- Comply with all policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a minimum of 12 professional development hours per calendar year on topics related to adults and children with special needs (funding provided)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Have a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a social science/mental health related field such as, social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.
- At least 3 years' experience working with adults and/or children with behavioral health and/or special needs
- Professional training and experience in disability and educational law. Ability to use this training and experience to create an individualized plan of action with participants.
- Requires interpersonal skill, judgment, ability to process through change effectively.
- Proficient with multiple software and system applications.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong research, analytical and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities including, but not limited to time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage own caseload and coordinate all assigned cases.
- Strong passion for speaking to & assisting military members and their families.
- Display knowledge and understanding of the military lifestyle and culture while maintaining the highest degree of sensitivity, compassion and respect for Service Members and their families.

Role Summary:
A great opportunity to help military members and their families
The Specialty Consultant works with members of the military and their families in providing confidential specialty and special needs consultations. The Specialty Consultant is responsible for identifying the individual and/or family's most immediate needs and leveraging their behavioral expertise to recommend available services that meet those needs. This key role provides participants with support, education, resources, as well as information regarding legal/educational entitlements they may be eligible for. The Specialty Consultant will coach the participant to an individualized plan of action to best meet their needs.
Specialty topics are varied but often include the following issues:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Full time job with a minimum of forty hours per week five days a week. Shift days and times may vary due to business need.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 55, ,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
