    Position Description:

    Work Schedule:
    This 40 hours per week externship provides a stipend over a 46-52-week period, determined by the university.

    Work Location:
    Otolaryngology Research, Faculty Office Tower


    Under the supervision of a certified audiologist, to provide intervention and assessment services to patients needing audiological evaluation and amplification.

    To conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, amplification interventions, and patient and family education in the inpatient and outpatient setting.


    Position Requirements:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    Currently working on Doctor of Audiology (Au.
    D.). Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.


    LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
    Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.


    APPLICANTS MUST:

    • Have successfully completed all requirements of their Doctor of Audiology program at an ASHA-accredited university by May 2024
    • Be eligible for extern licensure in the State of Alabama, check
    • Be currently working on a Doctor of Audiology (Au.
    D.). Work experience may NOT substitute for education

    requirement.
