    We are seeking a qualified and experienced AT Specialist (Assistive Technology Specialist) to join our team for the school year.

    Located in Menifee,the school district is mitted to providing prehensive educational services and support to our students.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate students' individual needs for assistive technology (AT) tools and services through assessments and collaboration with educational teams, including teachers, special educators, and related service providers.
    • Develop and implement individualized AT plans for students with disabilities, in line with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational goals.
    • Remend and facilitate the acquisition, installation, and implementation of appropriate AT devices and software.
    • Provide training and ongoing support to students, teachers, and families on the use of assistive technology tools and acmodations.
    • Collaborate with school staff to integrate assistive technology into the curriculum, ensuring students have equal access to educational materials and activities.
    • Conduct staff training and professional development sessions on assistive technology and its effective implementation in the classroom.
    • Stay informed about emerging assistive technology trends and advancements, and evaluate their potential applications in the educational setting.
    • Maintain records and documentation related to the provision of assistive technology services, including assessment results, progress reports, and training materials.
    • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure the availability and functionality of assistive technology resources.
    • Provide ongoing support to students and staff, troubleshooting technical issues and facilitating repairs or replacements as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Assistive Technology, or a related field.
    • Prior experience working as an AT Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of assistive technology tools, software, and devices for students with disabilities.
    • Familiarity with the assessment process for determining appropriate assistive technology interventions.
    • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing the use of assistive technology in education, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
    • Strong munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators.
    • Ability to provide training and support to individuals with varying levels of technological proficiency.
    • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and paperwork.
    • Passion for empowering students with disabilities through the use of assistive technology.
