JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this position, you will work to build, deploy, and support mission crucial systems.
Successful candidate will build and support secure networking elements in environments that will be used operationally to support internal clients and their customers.
These environments contain various networking devices/operating systems (Windows/Linux), Virtualization (VMWare), web, email and database services, as well as dedicated desktop and thin client technology in a hybrid cloud model.
The person filling this role will be responsible for understanding networking and security requirements and applying those requirements to their work.

The client and its government customers transition to new business models and evolve into multi-cloud and hybrid environments, this team is uniquely positioned to drive the security, compliance and service capabilities for the client's US government business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Application support for Jira, performing upgrades and migrations, handling change requests for updates to staging or production, and handling cases.
As the Jira Service Matter Expert (SME), you will also handle the normal influx of support requests, troubleshoot service issues, document procedures for handling different types of cases, and collaborate with clients on designing and implementing new Jira functionality.
Work closely with security and operations teams to engineer and build compliant Custom Solutions within an agile and modern enterprise grade operating model.
BE the technical lead providing in-depth troubleshooting and coaching for other team members.Record and implement new client processes within Jira.
Create templates, team boards, dashboards, custom fields, workflows, schemes, etc. Review the current configuration, license utilization, dashboards, reports, automation rules, workflows, webhooks and make recommendations for optimization and improvements.
WHAT YOU'
LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Demonstrated ability to understand business implications and impact of new Jira projects and configuration requests to business goals and government and the client's compliance requirements
High level of customer service skills, and ability to fluctuate technical communication level
Experience with Jira Data Center and Jira Service Management (formally Service Desk) and Agile within Jira
Experience with conducting migrations and troubleshooting Jira related issues/workarounds.
Ability to login to Jira hosts and triage instance failures or performance problems.
A good understanding of the base Jira schema, plugin schemas, the Jira application user permissions and group management.
Experience designing and/or managing permissions and other Jira schemes across numerous Jira projects

Experienced at developing & administering Jira with 3-5 years of demonstrated skillsExperience with software development and the agile framework
Experienced with working with industry standard information security and control frameworks (NIST Cyber Security Framework, 800-53, etc.)
Linux server administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) skills
Experience understanding SAML integration
