    Description

Lodestone Design Group is seeking a skilled architectural designer who is actively working toward licensure to join our team of architects and designers and take a prominent role on our production team.

    Production Team Role:

As our company continues to grow, we're developing a team to provide quality design and construction documents for our clients. This is a team of entry level designers and drafters to assist architects, senior architectural designers, and interior designers in completing projects and managing construction responsibilities. The production team members will be responsible for:

    · Creative interdisciplinary problem solving throughout the design process

    · Development of detailed architectural and interior design drawing packages

    · Creating renderings, photography, and project marketing materials

    · Learning, using, and sharing new technologies and systems including advanced Revit skills, 3D scanning, and point cloud manipulation.

    · Sharing design and documentation ideas and practices between team members

    · Assisting with Construction phase site observations, RFI responses, and Submittal reviews.

    · Managing their own schedule and workload with the assistance of the Production Team Lead.

    · Professional growth and development with an eye toward licensure and a lead design role.

    The Production Team:

Lodestone Design Group has been working to develop a team of employees able to move between projects and assist in the development of construction documentation and other final product deliverables based on the unique needs of each project. Our immediate goals are to work toward hiring and developing this team up to 3-4 people over the next 6-12 months. The production team will be integral in the development of:

    · 3D scanning of existing built environments and development of existing conditions plans from the resultant point cloud data.

    · Producing final construction documents under the direction of the Production Team Lead and each project's lead architect or designer

    · Development and enforcement of office standards in modeling, drafting, and documentation.

    · Assistance with CA phase work including site observations, submittal reviews, and responses to contractor RFIs.

    · Occasional detailed computer modeling for 3D rendering and animations

    Lodestone Design Group:

Lodestone Design Group was founded in 2010 and has grown steadily over the last 14 years. Our nine-person team is looking to gradually expand our range of services to further secure our place in the Colorado Front Range market.

Our projects vary widely in size, style and scope. In-house, we offer both Architecture and Interior Design services. We also do our own 3D scanning of existing structures and modeling from the resulting point cloud data. We are continually adapting new technologies and innovative approaches to providing valued services for our clients and experiences for our team.

We are strongly committed to the success and satisfaction of everyone on our team. We work to ensure each person feels valued in their current role, and has an eye toward their own career goals and growth potential. This includes a commitment to providing diverse opportunities to all employees, supporting individuals through testing for licensure, and seeking out continuing education opportunities. It is our belief that as important as it is for the firm to be versatile and accomplished, it is equally important for each individual to have opportunities to diversify their knowledge, experience, and interests.

Our office is in Frederick, CO just 3 miles east of I-25 and 13 miles east of Longmont. The location is ideally suited to allow us easy access to our projects across the front range and allows for an easy commute for our employees from most anywhere in northern Colorado.

    Qualifications:

A successful architectural designer will need to be able to manage their own work load and take direction from different designers on different projects while participating in the development of production standards. Production team members will need to be sufficiently confident in their role and their abilities to welcome feedback and direction from colleagues with diverse experiences and expectations. To that end we believe the following minimum qualifications are important:

    · A professional degree in Architecture or equivalent

    · Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in an architecture or interior design firm or other related design field.

    · Production oriented with a professional drive toward documenting and detailing diverse project and construction types

    · Creative problem-solving skills and techniques

    · Strong understanding of communicating and documenting design intent for construction

    · Knowledge of multiple common construction types, practices, and materials.

    · Strong Revit drafting skills are a must.

    · Experience in Chief Architect would be an additional asset.

    · Willingness to continue to learn and grow with us.

    · Strong research and critical thinking abilities

    · Detail oriented and self-motivated

This is a true professional development opportunity in our firm. Finding the right person to fit this role will be critical to the success of our production team and have a significant impact on the success of our firm as a whole.

This is a full-time employment position and while hybrid scheduling will be available in the future, this is not a 100% remote position and will require in-person work for at least the first 3 months of employment.

    Rewards:

Career development and growth opportunities will be explored and developed over time as the company continues to grow and succeed. Initial compensation will be based on the qualifications of the applicant but are likely to include:

    · An annual salary of $52,000 - $65,000

    · Participation in a quarterly discretionary bonus program

    · 3-weeks of paid time off accrued annually

    · 10 paid holidays per year.

    · Flexible hours and scheduling

    · Potential hybrid work schedule including equipment needed for remote work.

    · Health, dental, and vision insurance

    · Employer matching contributions to 401k retirement fund

    · Memberships, certifications, and licensure dues and fees

    · ARE costs and access to current ARE study materials

Equally important, we provide a friendly, cooperative and welcoming work environment. Our team works together to promote each other into new opportunities and the development of wider skill sets and greater knowledge of the design and construction industry. Additionally, we value and protect a healthy work/life balance.

    Application:

We encourage anyone interested in joining our team and filling this role to submit a resume and cover letter for our review. We value the resume for outlining your work history and experiences, but are equally interested in receiving a cover letter describing what your specific goals are now, and for your career.

Thank you for considering this opportunity.
