    Description

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Medical Clinic Director (Bilingual English and Spanish)

    Organization: Tri City Health Partnership

    Location: St. Charles, IL

Job Type: Full-time preferred; part-time and flexible schedule considered

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as our Medical Clinic Director. This is a hands-on clinical leadership role for a provider who wants to continue caring for patients while also shaping how care is delivered in a mission-driven free clinic.

    You will:

    • Provide direct patient care for uninsured patients in our community.
    • Work closely with volunteer physicians and advanced practice providers.
    • Help guide clinical quality, team culture and clinic operations.
    • Have a real voice and influence in organizational decisions impacting patient care.
    • Regularly partner with both staff and board leaders in this work.
    • Supervise staff (3 direct reports), support volunteers, and help guide the clinic's growth and impact.

In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with patients who often have limited access to care. You will have the opportunity to practice medicine with time, compassion, and continuity—while also shaping the systems and programs that support high-quality care. Your voice will matter here, and your work will directly impact the health of individuals and families in our community.

Scope of practice, responsibilities, and compensation will align with licensure, experience, and clinic needs.

Full-time is preferred; part-time and flexible schedules are also considered.

About Tri City Health Partnership (TCHP)

TCHP is a dedicated, non-profit organization providing completely free, quality medical and dental care to uninsured residents in Central Kane County in an environment of mutual respect. We promote a healthy lifestyle through education and preventative care to foster the growth of the whole individual.

    About the Role

This role is ideal for an NP or PA who:

    • Wants to continue practicing clinically.
    • Cares deeply about underserved populations.
    • Enjoys mentoring and collaborating with other clinicians.
    • Is interested in shaping systems without giving up patient care.
    • Has a high proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written), as most patients are Spanish-speaking.
    • Is comfortable working in a resource-conscious, mission-driven environment.
    • Values purpose and teamwork.
    • Wants their work to make a tangible difference.

The balance of clinical care, leadership and operational work will be shaped collaboratively based on your strengths, experience and clinic needs.

    Working at TCHP

Working at Tri City Health Partnership is about more than a job—it's about choosing how and where you want to make an impact.

TCHP is a small nonprofit with a big mission.

    • Provide ongoing direct patient care, in collaboration with volunteer providers.
    • Review diagnostic tests and laboratory results and recommend appropriate follow-up.

    • Work directly with Northwestern Medicine residents, NP and PA student volunteers and volunteer preceptors.
    • In partnership with the Patient Advocacy Manager, serve as a liaison to nonprofit and health system partners for complex medical referrals and care coordination.

    Clinic Leadership & Operations

    • Co-lead day-to-day medical clinic operations alongside the Clinical Care Manager.
    • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Executive Director, leadership team, and Board of Directors to ensure effective clinic management.

    • Supervise clinical workflows, pharmacy logistics, and administrative operations.
    • Lead and support the medical clinic staff team, including 3 direct reports.
    • Support clinic performance through compliance oversight, QA and QI initiatives, and data-informed planning and reporting.

    Volunteers, Programs & Partnerships

    • Recruit, engage, and retain volunteer providers in collaboration with clinic leadership and team.
    • Partner on patient education, screening, vaccination, and community health initiatives.
    • Manage relationships with programs that provide medications to free and charitable clinics.
    • Represent the clinic with community partners, at outreach events, and in periodic board updates.
    • Serve as a collaborative resource for staff, volunteers, and leadership across the organization.
    • Serve as a point of contact with the Kane County Health Department and Coroner as needed.

    Collaboration & Internal Communication

    • Collaborate across departments to support integrated patient care and operational alignment.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Medical professional with a minimum of 2 years direct patient care.
    • Appropriate medical licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant active and in good standing in Illinois.
    • Knowledge of medical care processes, regulations and industry best practices.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential to ensuring equitable access, patient safety, and trust within the communities we serve.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of Tri City Health Partnership.

    Salary and Benefits:

    • Salary will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and full- or part-time status. The anticipated annual salary range is $110,000-$135,000 for full-time candidates, based on licensure, experience and scope of responsibility.
    • This role offers a high degree of autonomy, the opportunity to influence organizational decision-making and close collaboration with medical and executive leadership.
    • While we are a small nonprofit, we strive to support our team with flexibility and a deeply mission-driven work environment.
    • Medical, dental and vision insurance available.
    • Paid PTO days and nine holidays.
    • Retirement savings plan.
    • Reimbursement for approved business and travel expenses.
