    Description

    To learn and assist with all programs and services of Great Lakes Ag Labor Services (GLALS), a provider of legal seasonal H-2A guestworkers for Michigan farms. To experience all facets of GLALS service portfolio, including contract filing, on-farm guestworker training and onboarding, administrative, domestic recruitment interviews, supporting clients in audits, database data entry, and marketing activities/events.


    Support GLALS staff and Account Managers (AMs) with marketing events and activities, database entry, and the updating of GLALS materials.

    Support administrative functions related to client invoice processing, worker check processing, client membership verification, and other duties assigned. Support the organization and record keeping of client audit folder information. Support domestic recruitment efforts.

    Assist AMs with worker orientations and trainings, and with H-2A contract filings through the SWA, DOL, and USCIS stages. Shadow AMs at onsite client meetings to build relationships, as well as provide further education about the H-2A program requirements and implementation on farms.


    Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in agribusiness, agri-communications, or general business, or equivalent experience may be considered.

    Experienced computer usage in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other communication platforms such as WhatsApp, project management software and Internet required. Experience in customer service preferred. Experience working for or serving in a volunteer capacity for a nonprofit organization preferred.

    Knowledge of agriculture-industry preferred. Spanish speaking comprehension and translation required. Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
