- Performs direct patient care, utilizing established policies, procedures and standards.
- Administers contrast and IV's according to policy and procedure.
- Accurately executes provider orders according to policies and procedures.
- Performs indirect patient care, utilizing established procedures, policies, and standards.
- Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate persons in a timely manner.
- Performs accurate and timely documentation according to SVH guidelines.
- Adhere to ASRT, ARMRIT and ARRT standards of practice.
- Able to work independently and unsupervised and be available for regular emergency standby coverage off-hours and on weekends.
- Availability to work at multiple locations.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff according to policies and procedures.
- Ensures that supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are stored in an organized and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in the use of equipment according to specific product information.
- Follows appropriate procedures for obtaining and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies.
- Participates in economical utilization of supplies and ensures that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Adheres to Diagnostic Imaging policies. Does not incur excessive overtime.
- Complies with specific SVH policies and procedures concerning safety.
- Assists patients, family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respects their confidentiality and privacy and communicates with them in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.

- Assists in the orientation/training of new Team Members.
- Consistently works in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow Team Members.
- Assists other Team Members in the performance of their assignments.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology training program.
- Skagit Valley Hospital is a DNV certified Primary Stroke Center. Required to complete 1 hour of stroke education annually.
- Minimum one (1) year prior experience preferred.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) required.
- ARRT candidates are preferred to have Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) Certification.
- ARRT candidates are required to attain MR certification within 1 year of hire and maintain a current Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.
