    Job Description
    SGM is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer IV or Senior Engineer I to join our team. Our projects consist of a diverse mix from the municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential arenas. The ideal candidate has a desire to work, live, and play in Western Colorado. This position will be located out of our Glenwood Springs office.

    **Note: Salary range for Senior Engineer I yrs experience) is $120,000 - $152,800 per year DOQ

    Job Requirements

    Minimum qualifications for the successful candidate are:

    Professional Licensure Status:
    Colorado registered Professional Engineer.

    Or, NCEES licensure in another state with good standing and ability to obtain Colorado professional licensure with 90 days of starting date.

    8+ years of related experience in the following areas:

    Building power systems design for commercial and residential buildings or municipal assets (premises wiring). Tasks might include conductor and breaker sizing, receptacle layout, populating panel schedules, and basic NEC calculations.
    General understanding of the NEC, building codes and construction practices
    Some working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, and basic use of Microsoft Office products.
    Setup and production of engineering plans and details.

    Able to coordinate design efforts on multi-disciplinary projects with minimal direction from senior engineers.
    Ability to learn and use new software.
    Self-motivated with good verbal and written communication.
    Willing and able to physically maneuver around confined and otherwise difficult-to-access spaces
    Valid Driver's License
    Ability to periodically travel to projects and branch offices around western Colorado

    Additional preferred qualifications:
    SCADA systems training or experience
    Experience with EasyPower software for arc flash risk analysis and selective coordination

    Familiarity with NEC articles pertaining to special equipment and special occupancies such as classified environments, PV interconnection, electric vehicle charge, swimming pools, welders, agricultural buildings, and residences.

    Experience with industrial and municipal water applications such as water and wastewatertreatment facilities, pump stations, gates and dams, and hydroelectric plants.

    Experience working with mechanical HVAC system engineers.
    Experience with low voltage systems such as building automation, A/V, security, and fire alarm systems.
