    *RN Correctional Nurse needed in Canton , IL**Contract : 13 weeks**shift : 8hrs Eevnings / Nights**Pay :$75/hr*Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
    • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
    • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans
    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic
    • Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication regimens, and selfcare techniques
    • Assist with pain management techniques and administer pain medications as needed
    • Provide specialized care for geriatric patients, ensuring their unique needs are met
    • Adhere to professional nursing standards and follow established protocols and procedures
    • Perform airway management procedures as required
    • Collaborate with case managers to coordinate patient care across different healthcare settings

    Requirements:

    • Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of IL
    • Minimum of [2 years of experience in a Correcions
    • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
    • Knowledge of pain management techniques and experience in administering pain medications
    • Familiarity with geriatric patient care best practices
    • Strong understanding of nursing standards, protocols, and procedures
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Experience in ophthalmology or coding is a plus
