    Job Title:
    Mammography Technologist

    Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension


    Location:
    Newton, MA


    Shift:
    Day Shift (8:00am - 16:30pm)


    Local Pay Rate:
    $76/hour

    Travel Gross weekly Pay rate: $3,060/week (with $1,659 non taxed)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Performs a variety of radiographic procedures and duties, under the direction of a qualified physician and clinical supervisor, using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation.

    Performs all activities according to Federal, State, local and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric in age.

    Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
    Able to instruct patients in BSE.
    Performs daily quality control of equipment.
    Reports any malfunction to appropriate supervisor.
    Prepares rooms for procedures.
    Works with centralized scheduling, inpatient units and physicians offices to coordinate and/or assist in scheduling of patient exams.
    Transports patients and helps with lifting of patients as needed.
    Chooses appropriate film, cassettes, radiation protection, and exposure parameters to produce quality images.
    Performs imaging exams on inpatient and outpatient, adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations.
    Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.


    Experience:
    At least 1 year experience working as a Mammography Technologist.


    Job Requirements:
    Licensed by the
    MARadiation Control Board
    ARRT (M) Preferred
    ACS Certified in BSE preferred
    BLS/CPR Certification (preferably from AHA)
    Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19 (Exemptions are not accepted).
