    Your primary focus will be on securing sites for utility-scale solar plants adjacent to the companys existing gas power plants.

    Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

    Lead land acquisition campaigns across all current and future of the companys hubs, ensuring the rapid acquisition of high-quality sites and rights of way to expedite the development process.

    Manage external land agents and firms, including contract negotiations, progress reviews, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient execution.

    Supervise an internal team supporting land acquisition efforts, coordinating with project developers to maintain site quality and align with project schedules.

    Develop a strategic plan for engaging key landowners controlling points of interconnection or large land areas.

    Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:
    Minimum of 6 years' experience in acquiring land for large energy projects, experience in renewable energy is preferred.
    Hands-on experience with land leases and rights of way/easements using various contract types.
    Strong leadership and people skills, especially in managing different personalities.
    Must be willing to travel in Illinois for landowner meetings, up to 50% of the time.

    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
