    POSITION:
    Senior Electrical Engineer


    POSITION DESCRIPTION:


    Lead, supervise and mentor Designer level staff; Apply engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute required aspects of electrical engineering for project delivery; Perform Quality assessment reviews and meet engineering quality levels for the discipline on assigned projects; Apply risk management practices of project engineering; Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours; Edit and develop basis of design narratives, design standards and master specifications documenting project scope; Operate and/or understand lighting calculation and electrical power analysis software (i.e., AGI 32, SKM Power Tools, Energy Pro, Revit, CYMCAP, ETAP); Evaluate Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.

    20% telecommuting allowed, 20% domestic and international travel required; must live within normal commuting distance of Chicago,
    ILand near a major airport.

    REQUIREMENTS :
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent degree plus 5 years of related experience


    Required skills:

    Develop and design modification of new and existing electrical power systems; Perform power system studies and translate study results into reports; Provide Quality Control (QC) review and approve small-scale projects, including review and approval of material submittals, method statements and schematic drawings, interpret technical documents and specifications; Provide project management input and create plans to complete assigned tasks within budget; Identify and resolve potential project issues and manage competing priorities; Supervise Junior Engineers and contributes to technical development in the discipline; Manage construction administration and coordinate with design and construction partners.
