    Overview:

    At New Braunfels Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 10 years and has earned The Joint Commissions Stroke Certification and Brain Injury Certification. At our 40-bed hospital, we provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients, serving New Braunfels and surrounding areas. We see patients who often are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.

    We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team of passionate patient caregivers

    Qualifications:

    Required Skills:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
    • Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred
    • Hospital experience preferred
    • National certification (PTCB) preferred

    Additional Qualifications/Skills:

    • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
    • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
    • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
    • Ability to utilize concepts of age/developmental stages in interactions with patients and families.

    Responsibilities:

    Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. Integrates the hospitals mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.
