LTS is seeking an experienced full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the school year for the Franklin Township, NJ public schools. As a school nurse assistant, you will be responsible for administrative and basic medical responsibilities under the direction of a licensed school nurse.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide first aid for injuries and document symptoms of sick students.
Administer doctor approved medication to students and provide emergency care when necessary.
Maintain a log of students who are sent to the nurse's office and communicate with parents or guardians of sick children.
Contact doctors who can provide emergency care when necessary.
Assist the school nurse with health assemblies for students and staff.
Provide training in first aid and safety practices.
Administer basic first aid to students and staff who become injured or ill on school grounds.
Record and maintain accurate medical records of students and staff, including immunization records and medical histories.
Assist the school nurse or other healthcare professionals in providing medical care to students with chronic medical conditions, such as asthma or diabetes.
Maintain and order medical supplies and equipment necessary for the care of students and staff.
Perform basic health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, to identify potential health issues.
Provide compassionate one-on-one support to students.
Collaborate with educators and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment and assist with daily activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma with 2 years of experience working in schools or a similar setting.
Must possess an active CNA License and a valid Driver's License.
Must be able to pass Background Check.
Must possess a current CPR/BLS Certification.
High level of patience, understanding and compassion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
