Global firm hiring due to growth a mid/senior level Engineer who can work well in both a Lab and a live production environment. You'll need to be technology curious, able to solve technical problems and work in a collaborative environment with smart and humble peers.

Here's what your typical project will look like:

• Meet with the customer to understand the security needs, develop requirements, and test plans.
• Research and identify candidate technologies, evaluated the selected technologies against the defined requirements. Become an expert of various new and existing technologies and be able to communicate how the system enables the solution and its limitations.
• Work with internal teams to assess and resolve all privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for the systems.
• Write high quality documentation for system standards and operations.
• Provide training and work hand in hand with installation and administration teams to deploy the solutions on site.
• Continually re-evaluate the systems to ensure they are still effective and proactively assess how new technology developments or changes in the environment may require new solutions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs and provide recommended improvements per industry best practices.

Specific position requirements are as follows:

• Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of security systems experience
• Working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security manufacturers such as CCURE (Software House), Genetec, Lenel, HID, Axis, FLIR, AMAG and others. In-depth knowledge and understanding how these systems operate and be familiar with flaws and improvements.
• Programming and scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, etc), experience with systems integration tools and protocols (APIs, SOAP and REST, XML/JSON), database design and query development.
• Application and System administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, updating lab and evaluation environments, upgrade and migration plans to implement new and improved systems.
• Networking experience and/or certifications with communications and network protocols and services including TCP/IP, RS232, RS485, network-based video distribution (Multicast L2/L3). Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, etc. Experience deploying ESS or IOT devices on secure network environments is a plus.
• Understanding of IT systems, OS functionality and server infrastructure. Corresponding vendor certifications include Associate and Professional certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, and Unix (any version).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• If not already ability to grow into a Leadership/Management.
