Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with one of the leading healthcare facilities in Charlottesville, VA and we are looking for a Clinical Lab Scientist II to join the team.

Sign On Bonus: $12,000.

Position Information:

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist II performs the following:

Routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Utilizes requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems.
Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods.
Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory, equipment, and supplies.
Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation.
May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement, safety, quality control, regulatory, administrative, staff development, and computer systems.
Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and/or high complexity testing environment.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology required with required licensure/certification and with equivalent experience.
Associate degree in medical laboratory technology with required licensure/certification and with equivalent experience

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
ASCP or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required

Salary:

$ $44.54 Hourly

1st shift
