    Nutrition Services Position:
    Full-time Director of Food and Nutrition Services Position for the Food & Nutrition Department.

    The Director of Food and Nutrition Services coordinates, directs, and evaluates the personnel and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services department.

    Primary responsibilities include managing foodservice and clinical nutrition staff to assure quality food and nutrition services; functioning as the clinical dietitian during peak workloads or in the absence of the clinical dietitian; reviewing and updating policies and procedures; implementing and maintaining budget and cost-control procedures; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.


    Director of Food and Nutrition Services Required Experience:
    Proven experience in clinical dietetics and foodservice management with minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
    Knowledge of foodservice administration, principles, and practices within a healthcare environment. General knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy. Knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, and spreadsheet software. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal form. Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others. Ability to initiate and promote innovation and change. Ability to establish collaborative alliances and promote teamwork. Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience. Proven ability in meeting and maintaining budget goals. Knowledge of regulatory agency standards e.g. state, federal, and Joint Commission standards.

    Director of Food and Nutrition Services Educational Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition, foodservice management, or related area. Master's degree preferred.

    Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
