#CNSs possess advanced knowledge of the science of nursing with a specialty focus and can apply that knowledge to nursing assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and evaluation.
# They function independently to provide theory and evidence based care to patients/clients in their attainment of health goals.# CNSs work with other nurses to advance their nursing practices and improve outcomes. CNSs provide clinical expertise to effect system-wide changes to enhance programs of care through the quality improvement process.#
Requirements:
Masters Degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist tract required, current New York State Registered Nursing license, 5 years recent experience in the clinical specialty area, and effective interpersonal communication and teaching skills required.
