    The Credit team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our Credit desk. Algo Credit is a relatively new vertical that partners closely with other Algo teams at HRT. We deploy market-neutral strategies designed to deliver returns in all market environments. Our credit portfolios consist of liquid positions across corporate capital structures and their derivatives (corporate bonds, credit default swaps, ETFs, and equities). Our search for idiosyncratic returns extends across the globe with investments in several industries, and our quantitatively-driven investment strategies span the spectrum of credit investing, from traditional fundamental analysis to purely systematic.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage semi-systematic or quantamental, market-neutral portfolios of sub-Investment Grade credit positions
    • Collaborate with researchers and developers to improve our investment process, utilizing your understanding of market technicals and credit fundamentals

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years experience of risk taking responsibility, buy-side strongly preferred
    • You possess an in-depth understanding of over-the-counter trading in high yield credit markets
    • Strong fundamental analysis skill sets; ability to understand, analyze and digest fundamental credit research
    • In-depth understanding of the impact and influence of factors in portfolio construction
    • Extensive experience with Bloomberg terminal, Microsoft Excel
    • Basic proficiency in Python preferred
    • You understand that independence is important but teamwork is critical
    • High attention to detail and accuracy

    Annual base salary range of $200,000 to $300,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
