Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the requirements definition and mission design for a defense related spacecraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in leading teams and working with customers to translate visions into technical solutions. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, technical trades, risk tracking, requirements tracking and development, and the technical progress and execution of the program. Strong communication skills and the ability to present clearly and succinctly to customers are essential. Additionally, the candidate should have experience working with DoD requirements processes and subsystems design. Familiarity with CAMEO System Modeler and experience with space hardware development and testing are also desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements definition and mission design for a defense related spacecraft
Develop and maintain technical requirements and performance specifications
Collaborate with customers to understand their vision and translate it into a technical solution
Work with program management to ensure technical requirements and performance are achieved
Provide technical support to related proposal efforts

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering)
7+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience or advanced degree(s) in a related field
Familiarity with DoD requirements processes and subsystems design
Strong communication skills and ability to present clearly and succinctly to customers

Desirable Qualifications

Familiarity with CAMEO System Modeler
Experience with space hardware development and testing
