    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics (CG-4), Office of Logistics (CG-44), Configuration Management Division (CG-444) in Washington D.C.



    Duties


    This position serves as a Supervisory Logistics Specialist, managing a program to provide CM, RM, TDM, ILS, and Log IT capability to the USCG to include directing a team of CM, RM, TDM, ILS, and Log IT management and analytical personnel and is responsible for all matters regarding the technical disciplines of Configuration Management (CM), Requirements Management (RM), Scientific and Technical Information (TDM/STINFO), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Sponsor Representative for Logistics Information Technology (Log IT) for the

    Being a Coast Guard civilian make you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical duties include:

    • Supervising as the first line supervisor providing administrative and technical supervision.
    • Managing and overseeing the life cycle management of the CM program.
    • Direct USCG Integrated Logistics Assessments and Logistics Readiness Reviews.
    • Coordinating CM activities including strategic planning, capital planning and investment, control, workforce planning and management, auditing, and systems management.
    • Planning and implementing ILS processes and information technology (IT) systems.
    • Developing and promulgating CM and ILS directives for Coast Guard-wide application and overseeing CM- and ILS-related training and certifications.
