    SENIOR CNC MACHINIST (DAY SHIFT)

    Full Time PositionOn site in Sun Valley, CA Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

    $ $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)What LA Gauge OffersMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401K Retirement Plan Paid Time Off 11 Paid HolidaysWe are looking for Senior CNC Mill & Lathe Machinists who will set up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety-conscious and quality-focused manner. The role is accountable to load parts in the machine, cycle the machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.


    Job Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or GED5+ years of experience with setting up and operating CNC Mill or CNC Lathe machinesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsFamiliar with Mitsui-Seiki, Yasda, Fadal, Haas, Matsura (Mill)

    Familiar with Doosan, Mazak, Nakamura, Allan Bradley (Lathe)Familiar with Fanuc controls and Mazak controls Ability to read blueprints and has knowledge of GD&TAbility to do First Article InspectionsAbility to maintain close tolerances up to of an inchAbility to machine shop tools EX:
    micrometers, calipers, indicatorsMust have ability to apply basic math skillsAble to lift up to 30 lbsKnowledge of Aerospace standards (ex. AS9100, ISO9001) preferred

    Job Responsibilities:
    (will include but not be limited to)

    Determine the fixtures, attachments and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications, and set up machineDiscuss job specifications with engineers and supervisors to guarantee consistency between plans and productsModify machine speed, feed rates, tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured partsOversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errorsReview and interpret programs, enter them into control outlets before jobs and alter them to correct mistakes when necessaryInspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputationPerform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacementCompany Description:
